The Indian ETA visa allows the people to make an application for the tourist visa online without going to the authorized consular office. It allows the tourists in which to stay India for a period of 60 days without any issues. The Indian government introduced the digital tourist visa on arrival for the foreign passengers from 2014. The Indian Federal government has made the procedure of applying for the tourist’s visa online simple, but it has the following requirements that the tourists need to fulfill;
The Indian ETA Visa is valid for only sixty days, the tourists willing to extend their stay must apply for a proper visa.
The tourists can opt for different e-Visas depending on the purpose of their travel (for example e-Tourist Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Business Visa).
The tourists applying for the visa must have at least 6 months passport validity (from the estimated date of arrival) along with 2 blank pages.
The travelers can enter the country twice using the e-Visa.
Travelers must carry other documents that prove their identification.
The tourists from certain countries like Pakistan cannot apply for the ETA.
Tourists can enter India from the different airports (25) and three seaports.
Trying to get visa in 3 steps
Applying for an Indian ETA Visa is very straightforward and easy. It needs just 3 simple actions:
1. The Applicant will be asked to fill out an Application form using their bio-data and other information on the Application Portal. A passport picture with a white background will be published to the portal along with a duplicate of the Applicants International Passport showing the Applicants Photograph and Details. However, requirements may be different depending on the reason for visit i.e. an e-Medical Visa will demand a copy of a letter from a healthcare facility concerned in India on its letterhead, for an e-Business Visa, a duplicate of your business card will be needed.
2. After filling in the application form the second step will be for the Applicant to pay for the ETA Visa online, it is almost always recommended for payment to be produced 4 days prior to the expected day of travel and no more than 120 days before expected departure date. Payments through Credit Cards are accepted, Accepted Credit cards include; Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
3. After payments are made, the Applicant will be required to wait for some time while the ETA Visa Application has been Processed and Verified for bad spellings and invalid Details. When the application form has been approved, the applicant will be delivered an Email confirming the Status of his Application. The Approval is usually to be printed out and shown to officials at the point of departure.
